Aloha,
zag zojuist een 2e hand Riot Boogie voor 295 Euri's op Arend Bloems kanokoopjes.nl website.
Dit is een plastic surfkayak die zeer geschikt is voor steile (lees nederlandse) golven.
Ik ben alvast zo vrij geweest een en ander op te zoeken voor geinteresseerden:

The short stern with its hard rails let the boat accelerate quickly and pivot lip turns with precision, while the beveled centre section and flipped up bow rocker let you drop in after radical lip moves without crashing and burning.
Unlike normal ocean surf kayaks which are designed to just stay in front of the pocket, the Boogie is designed to slice, dice and aerial in and out of it repeatedly. Adjustable single, thruster or tri-fin setup
and D4 seat allow you to fine tune the boat for the days conditions and customize the Boogie to your personal style.
De Boogie is ongeveer 230cm lang en heeft veel beenruimte doordat de stoel vrij ver achterin zit en de neus erg veel rocker heeft. Riot adverteerde hem als geschikt tot 110Kg maar op Boatertalk lees ik al jaren dat ie vanaf zo'n 85Kg wel erg tricky wordt.
Deze boot heeft namelijk vrijwel geen achterkant (Riot Air...) en als je als zware peddelaar ver achterin zit kom je nauwelijks meer door de branding heen.
Nu ik zelf een aantal keer in een echte surfkayak gevaren heb ben ik helemaal verslaafd geraakt aan dit type boot, mijn ww boot zul je zo snel niet meer aantreffen in de branding.
En dan nu een kleine waarschuwing:
De eerste indrukken bij het peddelen in een echte surfkayak zijn niet echt leuk. Deze boten zijn totaal verschillend van ww boten maar ze zijn dan ook gebouwd voor een ander doel. Ze zijn totaal niet stabiel als je zomaar een beetje ronddobberd en da's best ff wennen.
Maar als je er eenmaal mee op een golf zit ben je in no time verslaafd; de snelheid, wendbaarheid en looseness zijn ongeloveloos.

Voor de duidelijkheid; dit is geen reclame voor Arend B. Het lijkt me gewoon ontzettend leuk als er meer echte surfkayaks aan onze kust verschijnen die zodat mensen het waanzinnige surfkayak gevoel met me kunnen delen.
